The shop is now fully stocked with the new Simms Headwaters line of packs and bags. Simms touts these bags as some of the best they have ever designed. We at the shop really like the Sling Pack. Designed with the fly fisher in mind, as all Simms products are, this line of packs and bags are right at home on a Trout river as they are on a Bonefish flat. Check out these great new Simms packs and bags.

Skip river gridlock and make haste for upstream seclusion in Simms’ most technical backpack yet. The Headwaters™ Full Day has a chasmic 1,830 cubic inches of storage accessed via a large zippered compartment. Inside, stretch mesh dividers add intuitive organization for raingear, layering options, and all destination essentials. Break out the rods and elevate your angling thanks to Catch & Release modular convenience that allows you to dock or disembark with Simms’ Chest and Hip Pack options via rock-solid magnetic attachments. Packs ride comfortably thanks to a breathable mesh back and a plush strap system, while three hardworking levels of high Denier fabric enhance durability.

Simms’ Headwaters™ Large Sling rides comfortably across one shoulder for the freedom to make delicate casts in close or deliver long-distance deposits to far off banks. The pack’s genius stems from the seamless ability to bring it from back to front to back again, when it’s time to switch up the program. Access the guts via two zippered compartments, with stretch mesh pockets and 915 cubic inches of gear swallowing capacity. Additional features include an exterior stash pocket, removable floatant and tippet-spool retainers, and a compression-molded front pocket that folds out for a customizable workspace that travels anywhere

For short-hop performance that won’t leave you parched, Simms’ Headwaters™ 1/2 Day Hydration Pack houses everything you need—and nothing you don’t. Ultra-rugged fabric with a water-shedding DWR finish engulfs 915 cubic inches of advanced river-shuffling storage. Keep pliers, nippers, and fishing tools in check via an accessory compartment, while the main zippered pouch has stretch mesh gear dividers for always-awesome organization. Bundle the 1/2 Day Pack with additional Hip and Chest Headwaters™ options thanks to the convenient Catch & Release modular system, featuring rock-solid magnetic attachments.

Streamlined, ergonomically-inclined, and built with a bulldozer blade’s worth of versatile storage, Simms’ Headwaters™ Guide Hip Pack is the largest hip pack in the lineup. Features include a molded front panel that safely stows a grip of gear and opens into a large workbench for convenient stream-side use. The main zippered compartment has an internal divider for simplified organization, while stretch mesh pockets bolster the pack’s chaos-conquering powers. Load it up and lug it far thanks to a ripple-foam, cushioned waistband and a stretch mesh water bottle pocket located at the bottom of the pack—designed to balance weight.

Simms’ Headwaters™ Hip Pack is an agile day-tripper designed to expedition anywhere in pursuit of good fishing. Source on-the-water prowess in the form of a bomber, compression molded front panel that drops down into a functional workspace, while the pack’s main zippered compartment has stretch mesh dividers and enough capacity to hold multiple fly boxes, tools, and accessories. Customize your program from Hip Pack to piggyback with Simms’ intuitive Catch & Release modular system that marries this pack with its Headwaters™ Full Day or 1/2 Day Hydration colleagues via rock-solid magnetic attachments.

Simms’ Headwaters™ Chest Pack features a fluid design that ushers all your fishing necessities to the forefront. A full-fledged member of the Catch & Release modular system, Chest Packs synch with various Headwaters™ packs for integrated carrying options. On its own and in charge of organizational priorities, the main zippered compartment stores fly boxes, reels, and a bevy of accessories and tools. Flip out and fold down its compression molded front panel for a convenient workspace that, combined with Simms Add-On components, can be easily tweaked to your specific fishing requirements.

The king of sling, Simms’ innovative Headwaters™ incarnation has a catch-free design that delivers appreciated over-the-shoulder performance. Streamlined engineering keeps gear trim to your back and perfectly balanced for enhanced casting comfort. Unzip its main compartment and load up with large fly boxes, a water bottle, and multiple tools and accessories. When it’s time to regroup and switch systems, the compression molded front panel doubles as a fold-down workspace that, combined with an array of Simms’ Add-On options, equates to a fully customizable ally in the field.

If you are in the market for a new pack or bag check out the latest and greatest from Simms. The Headwaters line deserves a look as these are another great product line form a great company.
