We had the great pleasure of taking Brady and Beau fishing in the salt today. They said they were up for anything and just wanted to have a good time. All we can say is mission accomplished.
We arrived an hour before our target tide and worked on getting our cast down while jetty became walkable. We all got a little wet. The boys were focussed and enjoyed the scenery while learning some new techniques. Species caught include bluefish, hickory shad and Black Sea bass. We had steady action until dark.
We fished Rio intermediate striper line, Outbound intermediate and a skagit head and 10 ft of T 8. Seeing the boys bomb casts with the two hander was a real treat. for flies we used chart over white closures and small white arctic fox flies.
